J C Lewis Primary Health Care Center is looking for a Family Practice Physician to join our team. The Family Practice Physician functions as an active member of the interdisciplinary clinical team. The Family Practice Physician provides comprehensive medical services for members of family, regardless of age or sex within scope of training. Services include: Preventative care, immunizations, primary care and treatment, health education, Prescribing of medications, ordering and interpreting lab testing, physical examinations, STD screenings, Vision/hearing, womens health, family planning, prenatal services, nutrition.

Qualifications:

Medical Degree from accredited medical institution

Specialty in Family Medicine or General Practice

Pediatric experience preferred

OB/GYN experience preferred

Completed Residency and 1 year of experience in family medicine

Licensed in the state of Georgia

Ability to provide supervision to clinic team

Ability to establish and maintain relationships with the medical community

Ability to establish and maintain professional relationship with patients

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Non-profit or public health experience preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

To render primary medical care to patients in an integrated health care setting

Participate in appropriate health screening services

To provide expert consultation to Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants regarding patient care

To serve as the collaborating MD for the Nurse Practitioners as defined by the governing board

To serve as the supervising physician to the Physician Assistants as defined by the governing board

To provide ongoing education for the Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
