J C Lewis Primary Health Care Center, Inc. is seeking a Finance Director who will be accountable for coordinating and performing those fiscal activities that insure the essential financial viability of the Center using a system of internal controls and policies established by the Board of Directors. This position consists of a wide range of responsibilities that deal with management of the fiscal staff and their offices so as to accomplish all the duties of the fiscal department; keeps the Chief Executive Officer informed of the fiscal condition of the Corporation; prepares financial reports essential to good fiscal management of the Corporation; coordinates with Senior Management Team and others regarding financial activities for Corporation programs; coordinates internal and external audit needs and insures the proper performance of each; maintains proper records of all financial transactions of the Corporation; responsible to Chief Executive Officer for obtaining all insurance policies for the Center, its employees and its Board of Directors. This position is responsible for supervision of the accounting department, to include billing supervisor, clerks, purchasing department, and accountants.

Requirements

• Masters Degree in Accounting, Business or in related field with documentation of substantial accounting training and experience.
• Five years of fiscal experience for a health care organization, preferably either a community based or non-profit organization.
• CPA highly preferred
• Evidence of skills documenting increasing responsibilities and ability to manage diverse individuals with different background and training.
• Knowledge of computerized accounting and information systems.
• Excellent oral and written skills and ability to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders and audiences.
• Skill in presentation of fiscal matters to different internal and external audiences.
