Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant (MA) for a urology clinic with nine providers.  urologysavannah.com 

Provide professional nursing care under supervision for office patients. Work closely with one primary physician and also rotate among the other providers.  Report to Clinic Nurse Manager.

Examples of duties: Schedule patients for outpatient tests.  Perform appropriate tests.  Greet patients and prepare them for examination. Screen patients for appropriate information. Instruct patients in collection of samples and tests.  Assist in locating and filing records in electronic medical record.  Assist with vital signs and in-patient flow through the office.  Check appointment schedule and assist in scheduling patients into physician’s schedule.  Set up and assist physician with minor procedures as needed.  Gather and duplicate documents and forms as needed.  Maintain patient confidentiality at all times. 

Be willing (training available) to insert and remove catheters in men and women.  May be trained and occasionally used to assist physicians performing procedures in the surgery center.

Strong face-to-face communication and telephone skills required.  Responsible for returning patient phone calls in a timely fashion.

Strong computer skills preferred.  The practice makes heavy use of its electronic medical record, billing module and online patient website (all Greenway software).

Superior academic performance preferred.
