Health Services. Primarily responsible for operating medical laboratory unit. Duties include calibrating laboratory equipment and performing various laboratory tests to include serological, hematology, urinalysis, microbiology, microscopic examination and other forms of testing on patient specimens for the purpose of diagnosing and following normal or abnormal body functions. Must have the ability to manage laboratory orders via electronic medical record and other laboratory interfaced equipment.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree; one or more years of work-related experience; State licensure in Medical Technology; membership in the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or an equivalent Medical Technology professional association; ability to read and execute orders written by physicians; effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills; proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing; ability to work independently; ability to work well in a diverse environment; successful completion of background investigation and urinalysis drug screening prior to employment.
Salary Range: Minimum $31,879 to Midpoint $39,827
