Position Description: Physical Plant. The Project Superintendent will be responsible for performing activities related to monitoring the performance of outside contractors on projects, including review of drawings, contract supervision, review of expenditures, scheduling of commencement dates, and insuring the ultimate completion of projects. Employee may be required to move heavy weights, work from scaffolding, and from heights occasionally exceeding 25 feet. Night and weekend work required occasionally.
Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent plus two or more years of post secondary training or an Associate's Degree (additional experience may substitute for some of the education requirement; three or more years of work related experience (a higher level of education may substitute for some of the experience requirement); ability to read and comprehend blue prints, specifications and standards, and technical literature; knowledge of building codes; knowledge of architectural and engineering drafting practices; knowledge of building construction and renovation practices; strong math skills; proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; effective communication (verbal and written), organization, and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field; environmental project management experience desired
Salary Range:Minimum: $35,125 to Midpoint: $43,919
