Administrative Assistant

This local, family owned business is seeking an Adminstrative Assistant. This position is responsible for  answering telephones, receiving the public, providing customer assistance, data processing, and record-keeping. In this position one works extremely close with the owners as an assistant and is  responsible for entering vendor bills and work as a main support for others in the office. One will perform routine clerical, secretarial and administrative work while maintaining a professional demeanor.  Hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:00 pm.

Primary Duties

1.       Assists with administrative tasks including but not limited to QuickBooks .

2.      Answers central telephone system and directs calls accordingly.

3.      Greets the public and answers questions, in person and by telephone; responds to inquiries from current and potential customers and refers, when necessary, to the appropriate person, official or department.

4.      Assists public in the showroom or refers client to appropriate person.

5.      Takes and retrieves messages for various personnel.

6.      Provides callers with information such as company address, directions to the company location, company fax numbers, company website and other related information.

7.       Assists with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing and collating.

8.      Other duties as assign

Qualifications

AS/A or BS/A

Experience with QuickBooks

Professional appearance

1+ years’ experience in a receptionist/support role
