Our client is an independently owned and operated successful industrial business, that services the Carolinas. They are seeking an Administrative Assistant who will assist with the daily activities and projects. This position is in Savannah Georgia and hours are M-F 8-5.
Position Functions and DutiesScreens phone calls and organizes calendar for Manager (schedules appointments, organizes meetings, travel, etc.) Assists with Human Resources activities (personnel recordkeeping, employee roster/database, benefits coordination, required training, etc.) Assists with credentialing of personnel Handles all payroll functions (time and attendance tracking, check creation, W2 and other government reporting requirements) Ensures Personnel Manual is kept up to date with regulatory and business changes Assists with licensure processes within various departments Form creation/maintenance and the typing of correspondence Assists with creation of agendas, PowerPoint presentations, meeting minutes, tables, charts, grids, etc. Incoming mail distribution and outgoing mail processing Ordering of supplies and materials Maintains filing system Assists with OSHA compliance Works with vendors to ensure Business Agreements are in place where needed Creates spreadsheet to track inspections/maintenance schedules on office equipment Maintains the strictest of confidentiality
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of administrative experience
- Knowledge and experience with payroll
- Ability to project friendly, warm, helpful and professional demeanor required.
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Must be multi-task oriented, flexible and willing to please.
- Must be well organized and detail oriented.
