Under general direction from the Facilities Manager, supervises all airport facilities, building, and vehicle & equipment maintenance activities as scheduled. This job includes evening, weekend and holiday work when scheduled. The individual filling this position may be required to be in an on-call status and may be required to remain on duty in any emergency situation, such as hurricanes, aircraft disasters, major power outages and other serious facilities problems. This position is considered safety sensitive and/or requires access to the safety sensitive areas as required under FAA and DOT regulations.

Position Requirements:

§  High school graduate or GED equivalent required.

§  Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a manager/supervisor/planner in an airport setting is preferred.

§  Associates degree or higher level of education preferred.

§  Knowledge of applicable labor laws and employee management procedures is required. 

§  Familiarity with general airport facility maintenance is preferred. 

§  Knowledge of productivity principles.

§  Excellent written communication skills.

§  Working skill in reading, writing, and basic mathematics.

§  Possession of a valid Georgia Driver’s License.

§  Ability to meet and maintain Transportation Security Administration requirements authorizing unescorted access entry to Security Identification Display Area (SIDA).
