Communications Manager
Summary: The Communications Manager, reporting to the CEO, is a key team member at the Tourism Leadership Council (TLC). The TLC serves as the leading trade organization for tourism. The Communications Manager will tailor communications strategies to build knowledge and provide value to TLC members and the community, as well as increase the visibility of the TLC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide writing, editing and proofing support for a variety of communications materials including press releases, Web and social media content, articles, and stakeholder communications.
• Draft, design, and distribute electronic newsletters and e-blasts.
• Develop and maintain content to increase the organization’s visibility and engagement online through the organization’s website and social platforms.
• Assist with the design, development, production and distribution of collateral materials for the TLC.
• Process memberships and maintain membership database.
• Skillfully communicate the programs the TLC offers through public relations and direct contact at events.
· Must have and maintain high working capabilities with Adobe Suite products
Desired Experience: The ideal candidate will be highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ideal candidate would have a degree or experience in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or Business. Excellent oral and written communication skills are needed, as well as demonstrated experience in writing organized, professional, and concise pieces. Candidate should be at ease with technology and have experience in working on a variety of web and social media platforms. Web design, print layout/graphic design skills working with Adobe software would be needed.
