Customer Service Rep

Our client, a local manufacturer is looking for a Customer Service Representative to act as the liaison between the manufacturing plant, warehouses, and customers. The CSRs duties include providing product and services information to customers and resolve any emerging problems that customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate is patient, empathetic, passionately communicative, and confident in troubleshooting. The goal of the CSR is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries and maintain high customer satisfaction.


Managing incoming/outgoing calls and emails customers and clients.

Preparing quotes, entering sales orders, acknowledging customer purchase orders, and creating invoices.

Servicing inquiries from Manufacturing Facilities, Warehouses, and Distributors.

Designing and implementing an inventory tracking system.

Preparing purchase orders to Manufacturing Facilities by checking/updating inventory management files.

Managing transportation from factory to warehouse, from warehouse to customer or direct containers to customers.

Liaising with shipping companies, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and operators.

Supporting sales and marketing in customer acquisition and retention.

Sending out samples and organizing the stockroom.

Executing plans to gain, regain and retain customers.

Assisting outside sales team and customers in daily operations.

Assisting other Customer Service Representative and Office Manager in inventory and joint/group-tasks as a backup.

Interacting with customers, handling customer queries and complaints in a timely manner, make payment arrangements, process deposits for ACH/wire, checks, and credit cards.

Updating the Team with reports about business/sales analysis/AR/inventory status and proactively identify issues to determine solutions.

Taking care of office, monitoring equipment and supplies, and requisitioning as required.

Additional duties as assigned.


College degree preferred.

Familiarity with CRM systems and QuickBooks.

Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative.

Track record of over-achieving quota.

Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
