Requirements: 
Education: Dental Hygiene Certificate/Degree from an accredited dental hygiene program. 
License: Active dental hygiene license issued by the state board. 
Experience: examines oral areas, head, and neck for signs of oral disease. Educate patients on oral hygiene, performs prophylaxis, take and develop x-rays, apply fluoride and sealants. Performs periodontal evaluation, scaling and root planting procedures. 
Equipment and technology: computer, copier, fax, telephone 

Desirable: 
Education: Associates or Bachelor's Degree 
Experience: Laser procedures, administer nitrous oxide. 
Equipment and technology: Intraoral camera, caries detection, Velscope, Open dental software, digital radiograph technology
