Overview: Under the direction of the Executive Board, the Director will oversee the operations of the Chatham Family Justice Center (CCFJC), a new non-profit organization in collaboration with the District Attorneys Office, Rape Crisis Center of the Coastal Empire, Savannah Area Family Emergency(SAFE) ShelterCenter for Domestic Violence Services, andCoastal Childrens Advocacy Center. The CCFJC will allow victims to find help from available agencies under one roof and eliminate the need to go to multiple agencies.

Job Summary: The Director will supervise, direct and evaluate assigned staff and volunteers; recruit and screen volunteers; provide training in operations, policies and procedures; and coordinate team activities with partner agencies. The Director will assess budget requirements; prepare an annual budget; prepare federal, state and local grant applications; communicate needs with Family Justice Center Executive Board, monitor financial transactions to ensure compliance with approved budget; and appear before the Board to report and explain budget matters. The Director will be responsible for significant community fundraising; planning, organizing and carrying out events to maintain an operational budget. The Director will act as a community liaison and serves as a spokesperson on domestic violence issues as it relates to the CCFJC; give presentations/speeches to civic organizations, schools, police officers, attorneys, social service organizations, criminal justice agencies, or others to inform and advocate for domestic violence victims; develop literature and host public awareness events.

Salary: $70,000

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in related field required; supplemented by at least five (5) years experience in criminal justice, victim advocacy or social services; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
