Position Summary:

Electrical Engineering. The Laboratory Coordinator oversees and coordinates the daily operations of the laboratory facilities, providing expert guidance, technical oversight, and oversight of design, development, and construction of related equipment and technologies.

Essential Functions

• Coordinates lab activities and provides support to faculty, staff, and students engaged in engineering research, design, and implementation.

• Assists in the purchases, installation, and maintenance of lab equipment, including electronic measurement equipment, basic mechanical equipment, and tools.

• Oversees lab safety and orients faculty, staff, students, and lab personnel in the use of equipment, methods, and materials used.

• Supports faculty in their teaching, service, and research.

• Orients students and lab personnel in the methods and materials used in the teaching laboratory experiments or exercises.

Bachelor’s Degree

Two or more years of related work experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.

Preferred Experience::

Two or more years of electronic equipment maintenance, set-up, and laboratory safety.

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
