Sullivan Group HR is currently looking for a Medical Scheduler In this position you would provide professional customer-based service by verifying necessary demographics and insurance information.  You would be responsible for scheduling all appointments for radiological, procedural and follow-up appointments and work collaboratively with all clinical staff in caring for patients with a "can do" attitude.  Flexibility to travel between Hardeeville, Pooler and Savannah is required.

 Job Function/ Duties

*Schedule hospital and endoscopy procedures both in clinic and by phone

*Confirm insurance eligibility

*Receive proper deductible according to insurance policy before scheduling procedures

*Schedule all outpatient radiology studies

*Schedule follow up appointments after procedures and radiology studies

*Review order for accuracy and completion

*Inform patient of financial obligation, accepting payment and set up payment plans

*Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

o    *Attention to detail

o    *Excellent data entry skills 

o    *Extensive computer and phone usage 

o    *Ability to communicate effectively and work professionally with patients, physicians and staff

o    *Customer service oriented

o    *Ability to function successfully under stressful conditions

·     *Ability to stand and/or sit for an extended amount of time

Education and Experience: 

1-year minimum experience working with patients in either a physician’s office or hospital
