Paralegal
A personal injury firm in Savannah is seeking a Paralegal to join their team. This is a very prestigious firm and in 2013, the founding Attorney was named as one of Georgia Trend's "Legal Elite" by Georgia Trend magazine.
Primary Duties
• Preparing and drafting motions, pleadings, judgments, statements, documents, and other correspondence (e.g., debt and asset lists, witness affidavits, child support worksheets, responsive pleadings, etc.)
• Performing legal research
• Maintaining attorney calendars and case files
• Scheduling appointments, court appearances, and mediation/deposition hearings
• Serving as a liaison between the client and attorney, conducting client interviews
• Preparing trial notebooks and providing assistance in trial settings
• Preparing and reviewing discovery packages, including disclosure statements, answers to interrogatories, and production requests
Qualifications
• Minimum of 2-3 years paralegal experience, 5 years and SC experience is preferred
• Paralegal Certificate or Paralegal Degree (If no degree or certificate must have 5 years paralegal experience)
• Ability to work under a great deal of pressure
• Ability to handle a high volume of cases
• Read, speak, and hear clear and precise communication
