Patient Care Coordinator
Our client, a prominent Plastic Surgeons’ Office in Savannah Georgia, is seeking part time Patient Care Coordinator. The Patient Care Coordinator provides a vital link between the patient and surgeon by managing the consultation process and surgery scheduling.
Responsibilities:
· Clearly communicate all procedure information with patient, including but not limited to quotes, payment options, appointment details, and health reminders
· Create and distribute surgical packets/new patient information packets
· Assist patient with financing and payments
· Collect pre-payment
· Provide clear, thorough and accurate documentation of all interactions with patients, and other individuals on behalf of patients
· Provide Care Credit deposits to Accounting Department
· Provide and distribute month end Inform & Enhance reports and Care Credit reports to manager and practice administrator for review
· Send out weekly letters for no show patients and post consult follow-ups
· Clearly coordinate and communicate any necessary information regarding the patient’s surgery with the patient and the associated place of service
· Process and obtain any necessary prior authorizations, pre-certs, medical clearance, appeals and insurance referrals as assigned
· Review and check office round slip daily prior to distribution
· Write up waivers and pre-pay sheets for front desk to collect patient payments
Requirements:
· HS Graduate or GED
· Medical Office Experience
· Strong Attention to detail
· Strong Customer Service Skills
· Computer savvy
· Professional appearance
· Read, speak and understand clear and precise English
· Team Player
