Procurement Specialist
Under limited supervision, performs routine and non-routine purchasing functions typically associated with a procurement specialist or agent, including processing requisitions, preparing purchasing documentation, maintaining vendor, contract and insurance files, working with vendors and internal staff and management, soliciting informal quotes and formal bids, and various procurement reporting and reconciliation functions. Reports to the Procurement & Risk Manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, or related field preferred, with a minimum of two years general business experience, or any equivalent combination of education with a minimum of three years purchasing specific experience in the large-scale acquisition of supplies and services that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Must possess strong organizational and administrative skills, expert communication (oral and written), computer proficiency, as well as a heightened awareness of ethics as it relates to business practices is required.
- Prefer certification as/from the Universal Public Procurement Certification Council (UPPCC), Certified Public Purchasing Buyer (CPPB) or obtain equivalent certification within three years of hire date.

Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Starting Salary: $22.94 to $25.81 per hour (depending on qualificaitons), + excellent benefits package to include S.C.
