Staff Nurse- Radiology

Duties: Provides clinical expertise and nursing care to patients and their families and is a resource for health care providers. Work is performed with general independence and decision making responsibility in accordance with palliative care and survivorship clinical guidelines and scope of practice while achieving five main objectives: 1) Access plan, implement and evaluate care throughout the care continuum; 2) Maintain accurate and concise record of patient observations, treatments and procedures administered and documents findings in the medical record and in survivorship care plans; 3) Provides basic nursing care which includes performing routine office procedures, medication management, testing and participating in patient education; 4) Organizes and participates in Cancer Transitions sessions; and 5) Communicates effectively with members of the health care team on goals, objectives, and statistics involving palliative and survivorship care through multi-disciplinary formal and informal meetings.

Requirements: An Associates in Nursing is required. A Bachelors is preferred. 1-2 years of Oncology experience is preferred. Professional License with State of Practice is required.
