Beaufort-Jasper Water & Sewer Authority is looking for: Technical Maintenance Specialist I or Trainee


Assists with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, instrumentation, maintenance & repair of all equipment related to BJWSAs water & sewer systems. Assists in troubleshooting and assessment of maintenance & repairs, the planning & requisition of parts, and the implementation of repair.

Requires:

High school diploma or equivalent with 1 year of vocational or technical school training in general electrical, mechanical, electronics, plumbing or instrumentation studies, with a minimum of 1 to 2 yrs of experience dealing with the same.
Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing.
Computer experience in Microsoft Office Products and the ability to use various software.
Must possess or complete BJWSA sponsored training in confined space entry, bloodborne pathogen, hazardous material, first aid/CPR, forklift operations, crane operations, & lockout-tagout.
Must possess or be able to obtain a Water Distribution D license & a Collection System D license within 2 yrs of hire for Trainee, and within 1 yr of hire for Specialist I.
Valid drivers license, and ability to obtain a CDL within 1 yr from hire.

Starting Salary: $17.53 to $20.39/hr, (DOQ) + great benefits pkg to include S.C.
