Under general supervision, the Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance Mechanic performs the assignments given provided by work orders to include: scheduled and unscheduled inspection reports or verbal instructions. The Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance Mechanic makes mechanical repairs to a variety of gasoline, diesel powered, and other power-driven equipment. This position is considered safety sensitive and/or requires access to the safety sensitive areas as required under FAA and DOT regulations.

Position Requirements:

§  High school graduate required.

§  Two years of experience as a mechanic.

§  General training courses in equipment repair.

§  Ability to meet and maintain Transportation Security Administration requirements authorizing unescorted access entry to the AOA (Airfield Operations Area), sterile area, or secured area.

§  Possession of a valid Driver’s License.
