    Primary Function:

    Responsible of ensuring that all food is properly cooked in accordance with established guidelines and procedures. 

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Receives and understands food orders from the dining room and/or the manager on duty.
    • Assists the other assigned personnel in the preparation of the requested food and to coordinate the orders for pick-up by the service staff.
    • Prepares orders according to standard recipes in a proper, professional, and timely manner.
    • Maintains the cleanliness of the work stations, kitchen area, walk-in coolers and freezers.
    • Assures the production of the best quality possible in a proper sanitary and professional manner.
    • Maintains the inventory of the work stations.  Controls waste by monitoring proper rotation, storage and over production.
    • Completes food safety program within 30 days of hire.
    • Orders stock for the next day or the next shift, as required.
    • Informs the Club Chef or Sous Chef on duty of any problems they may encounter during shift.
    • Assists in providing breaks for other associates working the line, as necessary when advised.
    • Complies with departmental uniform and grooming standards.
    • Works effectively with as a team with all departmental employees.
    • Works variety of shifts, as needed to include nights, weekends and or holidays.
    • Performs all other duties as assigned.


    Job Qualifications/Experiences

    • A minimum of one (1) year experience in food production is preferred.
    • Must have basic knowledge of food production, as well as be familiar with standard food recipes. 
    • Previous experience in recommending, serving and knowledge of food recipes is highly recommended and preferred.
