Design Services Manager

Family-owned and the largest short-term property management company in the Savannah area - we have over 280 unique vacation properties - TVR is growing and looking to add a motivated and dependable Design Services Manager to our team. This fast-paced, rewarding job is responsible for the design, refurbishing, and furnishing activities in the Design Services department, as well as meeting with clients, purchasing products, coordinating vendors, managing projects, and preparing budgets. Additionally, this position directly manages the Design Services Coordinator.

What you will do in this role:

  • Serve as the Interior Designer for the TVR Design Services (TVRDS) team.
  • Oversee and coordinate TVRDS projects. Meet with clients and preview properties to assess needs and formulate proposals; collaborate with the Owner Services & Business Development team to coordinate renovation and furnishing projects.
  • Measure, select colors, create design plans, and create floor plans as needed. Communicate details to clients.
  • Determine budgets and define scope of work/deadlines. Ensure timely completion of projects within defined timeframes and budgets. Oversee accurate accounting and billing for design projects, materials, and labor. Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted on time, and that open invoices or work orders are closed out by months end.
  • Directly lead and motivate the Design Services Coordinator. Perform all personnel management responsibilities including recruiting, performance management, and employee development.
  • Partner and communicate with vendors to complete minor remodeling projects. Obtain quotes and bids, confirm quality of work performed and clean up, and coordinate property prepping and the completion of projects.
  • Source and select furnishings, fixtures; ensure receipt of goods, including property small dcor wares and furnishings as requested. Oversee TVRDS inventory including organizing, ordering, receiving, stocking, and billing of items.
  • Perform installation and assembly of light furniture and fixtures. Delegate other installations and confirm completion.
  • Assist with performing property evaluations and prepare recommendations for homeowners to enhance property marketability. Proactively partner with homeowners to provide feedback on property appearance, amenities, and potential enhancements to assist them with meeting revenue goals.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Design Services Coordinator, TVR Ownership, TVR Homeowners, and other departments regarding design enhancement opportunities for new and existing properties.
  • Actively contribute as a member of the Property Services team, participate in regular team meetings, provide insight, and collaborate on problem solving/decision making with other departments.
  • Review guest feedback to look for trends relating to properties, furnishings, and conditions. Work with Owner Services to communicate feedback along with solutions and costs to homeowner.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and TVR standards; identify, recommend, and follow up with the required departments, management, and property owners as needed.
  • Fully understand and utilize all relevant technologies including the work order system, billing process, and other applicable software programs.
  • Maintain professional and neat personal appearance. Wear appropriate clothing and footwear based on the job to be performed and its location (field/in-property projects vs. office/client meetings).
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Complete Property Inspector training to understand the process and procedures, including safety. Follow all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

What we need from you:

  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination prior to hire.
  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design and/or relevant work experience in Interior Design, residential furnishing, or construction preferred.
  • Possess Strong computer skills, detail orientation, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, and Google Studio.
  • Demonstrate a high level of independence, adaptability, initiative, and resourcefulness.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess the ability to create, analyze, and interpret reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of this job.
  • Must pass a background check prior to hire.
