Pump Operator
Job Description: Concrete Pump Operator
Job Responsibilities:
The pump operator will be responsible for, but not limited to, the items listed below.
The pump operator is to work directly for the roof deck foreman. The pump operator will be required to assist the foreman with coordinating the crew personnel.
The pump operator must at all times, exhibit leadership skills to the other members of the crew. (Exp. On time for work, prepared for work, etc…)
The pump operator must able to properly mix lightweight insulating concrete roof deck systems that meet the requirements of Bonitz of Georgia and the manufacturer of the roof deck systems.
The pump operator must have at all times keep the equipment and tools that are assigned to him in proper working order (See list below for assigned equipment).
The pump operator must have at all times a back-up operator who he has been properly trained to run the pump.
The pump operator will be responsible for properly completing all checklists that apply to the maintenance of all the equipment that is assigned to him.
The pump operator is responsible for the proper set-up of the pump, bulker and related equipment. This includes any ground preparation required to keep the area clean during the pumping process.
The pump operator is responsible for all maintenance on the equipment that is assigned to him. He is responsible for turning in (to the foreman) the required maintenance sheets daily. In addition to the basic maintenance required the pump operator is responsible for daily clean-up of all equipment assigned to him. He is also responsible for all major clean-up and repair that is to be done when the equipment is down for maintenance.The pump operator is responsible for all tools and equipment that are assigned to him and they are as follows:
- Concrete Pumps (2each)
- Cement Bulkers (2each)
- Hand tools (All tools contained in his toolbox)
- Grease Gun
- Cellular Pump
- Tractor
Starting Pay: $ 16.00 per hour
(3) Month Evaluation: $16.50
(6) Month Evaluation: $17.00
(1) Year Evaluation: $17.50
At each interval the pump operator will receive an evaluation from the foremen and the project manager. If the pump operator is meeting the goals and objectives set by the foreman he will receive an increase in pay per the above schedule. After (1) one year all raises will be given on a yearly basis provided that the roof deck department is profitable.
Additional Benefits:
- After (1) one year the pump operator will receive (1) one week paid vacation.
- After (180) days the company will make available to the employee individual health insurance.
- Provided the pump operator is meeting the goals and objectives set by the foreman and the project manager he will be eligible for a yearly production bonus. Bonuses will only be given if the roof deck department is profitable.
- Per diem to be $ 15.00 per night
- The employee will be eligible for our SIMPLE retirement plan after two years.
