Position Summary

The Senior Programmer/Analyst assists users at all BMH facilities, remote sites and physician office in troubleshooting, testing, training and understanding the MEDITECH modules and other hospital software, as well as the analysis, design, coding, communication, implementation, planning, maintenance and support of existing and custom designed applications. The Senior Programmer Analyst is also responsible for the design and development of custom reports, forms and interfaces.

Minimum Requirements

Education

BS/BA degree preferred in Computer Science, Business or health - related field OR equivalent years of experience.

Experience

Preferred strong computer programming experience in a medical field and information systems. Proven experience in project management, staff management, system development methodologies and teaching experience. Demonstrated organizational, problem solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of computer programming principles, maintenance of hardware devices, and broad knowledge of healthcare financial and clinical operations. Knowledge of Meditech 6.0 and 6.15, Data Repository, SQL, and Meditech Report Designer preferred.

Experience working with hospital EHR Systems (Meditech, EPIC or Cerner).
